Hello Women Who Care! We hope you’re keeping your hearts and hopes up during these novel pandemic times. We still see continued upheaval from our upside-down world, and many of our members may not be in a financial position to make their quarterly donation right now. But we also want to consider the additional stresses on local charities who are unable to fundraise in their usual ways during this period of distancing. So, we would like to offer a slightly different approach with our gift-giving for our June 2020 meeting.
We are cancelling our in-person get-together for June 18. Instead, we invite you to nominate a charity of your choice using the submit button emailed to members on May 15. We’ll collect your nominated names, run a random name picker and choose three charities.
On June 18, in place of the live meeting stream on facebook, the 100 Women facebook page will stream a compiled video of the three nominated groups. There will be no voting process, as we will not be choosing one charity of the three. At the end of the video, we’ll provide CanadaHelps fundraiser links to each charity, and members can give their $100 to whichever charity you prefer.
100+ women. 1 hour. $100 donation. $10,000+ to a local charity. It’s that simple. Join us as three deserving charities share their stories with hopes that they will go home with our donations.
